Bruker AXS Serial Numbers All Bruker AXS parts have a serial number. This page is about the serial number for an entire X-ray System. Usually the system serial number is on a sticker (label) on the surface of the enclosure that houses the system components. Over the years, the sticker has changed a few times (see examples to the right). Different Names: Sometimes the serial number is given a different name or abbreviation. For example: - System Serial Number - System Number - SN or S/N - F-Nr (German) Help For Specific Systems Below are directions for finding the sticker on various systems: SCD Systems in D8 Enclosures Systems APEX DUO APEX II ULTRA KAPPA APEX KAPPA APEX II SMART SMART APEX SMART APEX II X8 PROSPECTOR X8 PROTEUM Location: The serial number can usually be found on a sticker on the right post of the enclosure front. Look below the status LEDs (see photo). If it is not in that location, look elsewhere on the exterior of the enclosure. Other SCD Systems Systems NanoSTAR PROTEUM 300 PROTEUM R PROTEUM S R3 Location: The serial number for these systems is usually on a sticker on the exterior of the enclosure. Look on the right side of the enclosure front, or near the front on the right panel. XRD Systems Systems D4 ENDEAVOR D8 ADVANCE D8 DISCOVER D8 FOCUS D8 SUPER SPEED D500 D5000 D5000matic D5005 I2 Location: The serial number will be on a sticker on the surface of the enclosure. Most systems will have the sticker on the right post below the LEDs, or on the rim of the left glass enclosure door. XRF Systems � Top Loading Systems S4 EXPLORER S4 PIONEER S8 TIGER Location: The serial number is on a sticker, usually found on either upper corner of the front panel, or inside the sample magazine, on the left or right walls, towards the front. This picture shows a PIONEER, but the system enclosures of the S4 EXPLORER and S8 TIGER are similar. Systems S2 RANGER Location: The serial number usually is on a sticker on the inside surface of the lid for the sample magazine. A second serial number sticker may be on the back of the instrument, to your left, if you are facing the back. Other XRF Systems Systems SRS 3000 SRS 3400 Location: The serial number is on a sticker, usually found on the large front panel in the upper left or upper right corner. Systems MRS 404 MRS 4000 Location: The serial number is usually is on a blue sticker on the instrument enclosure. IMIX Systems Systems MIX PC IMIX XD IMIX XD IMIX XE Location: The serial number for IMIX systems is usually on a sticker (usually blue) on the back of the instrument, a few inches from the bottom. OES Systems Systems Q6 COLUMBUS Q6 MAGELLAN Q8 CORONADO Location: There usually are two stickers with the serial number. One on the upper right front of the cabinet/enclosure, and one on the back. SPIRIT/AVALON Systems Systems SPIRIT AVALON Location: The serial number should be located on a sticker on the back of a system box. If the system has an imaging box, look there first. If not, the sticker should be on the instrument box. QUANTAX Systems Systems QUANTAX Location: Location: It is called the System number, and you can get it from the computer. In the QUANTAX software select System from the main menu (top of screen). Then select the System button, part-way down on the left side of the screen. Then the number will be shown in the lower left area.
